Purpose: To provide an update on changes which have occurred to designated Sites of Biological Importance (SBI) within the Borough.

Content: That it be DETERMINED to adopt and publish the changes to the Borough’s Sites of Biological Importance (SBI). To ensure the Council continues to utilise the most recent and up to date specialist ecological and geological advice available to it and ensure the Council continues to determine planning applications, formulate policy and manage its countryside based on the most up to date information and evidence available.  The Terms of Reference and Scheme of Delegation in the Council’s constitution afford decision-making powers to the Director of Place to review, monitor and adopt SBI.  The outcome of this decision will subsequently be brought to the attention of Speakers Panel (Planning) as further required by the Scheme of Delegation.
