Purpose: The document will provide Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland guidance and good practice principles for agreeing responsibility for after-care services and funding responsibilities under Section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Care Act 2014. The document also clarifies responsibility for funding and providing Section 117 services.Consultation has been carried out with Leicester City Council, Rutland Council, Leicestershire Partnership Trust, LLR Integrated Care Board, Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, Leicestershire County Council Departmental Equalities Group. A full Equality Impact Assessment was carried out to ensure the policy is fair and does not have unintended consequences which may disadvantage any protected groups.
