Purpose: To award a replacement single supplier Highways Professional Services Contract for a term of 4 years. The proposed contract will also contain a 2-year extension option which, if required, will be the subject of a new Cabinet decision paper at the relevant time.

Content: Following the conclusion of an options evaluation exercise in in respect of the Council’s Highways Professional Services requirements and then conducting a competitive procurement process for a?replacement Highways Professional Services Contract;  and having consulted with the Leader of the Council, the Cabinet Member for Environment, Economy and Planning, the Chief Finance (s151) Officer and the Monitoring Officer in accordance with the Cabinet decision dated 15th May 2024:  ?  DECISION    To award a Highways Professional Services Contract to the preferred tenderer, namely WSP. The contract will continue for initial period of 4 years (commencing on 1st April 2025) and include an option to extend its term for a further period of not more than 2 years.  Any decision to exercise the above extension option will be the subject of a new Cabinet decision at the relevant time.
