Purpose: To award a contract for the provision of the East Berkshire Stroke Support Service for any stroke survivor, of all ages, or person who is affected by Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), their families, and carers, who are resident in East Berkshire.

Content: That a contract for the East Berkshire Stroke Support Service, commencing on 1 April 2025 be awarded to Tenderer A, for an initial period of three years, with the option of two further one-year extension periods to a maximum of five years, (3+1+1 years) subject to satisfactory performance.   To complete the procurement process for a provider of the East Berkshire Stroke Support Service.   The anticipated benefits delivered through awarding the contract to Tenderer A will include:   ·       Experienced provider for this type of service, with existing local knowledge of East Berkshire.   ·       Seamless transition of service as Tenderer A submitted a good implementation plan recognising current needs and utilising volunteers.   ·       Tenderer A evidenced impressive involvement with research and a close collaboration with NHS England already in place.   All partners were involved throughout the procurement process, from market engagement to evaluation. There was a representative from all partners on the evaluation panel and all partners agreed to award the contract to Tenderer A. Alternative options including expanding the service to include the whole of the Frimley Integrated Care System or Bracknell Forest Council stepping away from the East Berkshire joint partnership were considered and rejected. None.
