Content: We have carefully considered the application for a new premises licence at Ocean Spice, 43 White Rock, Hastings. We have taken into account the representations made by Sussex Police, Immigration Enforcement, and the Licensing Authority, as well as the submissions and documents presented on behalf of the applicant, Fawjia Ltd. This includes the CV and references for its sole director, Miss Fawjia Rahman. Our decision is guided by the Licensing Act 2003, relevant Home Office guidance, the Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy, the Public Sector Equality Duty, the Human Rights Act 1998, and the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The Sub-Committee is also mindful of its duties under the statutory guidance issued under section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003. Decision: The application is refused.
