Purpose:

Content: Councillor Cowcher – Planning and Economic Development Portfolio   Consideration was given to the Cotswolds National Landscape Management Plan 2025 – 2030, which had been adopted by the Cotswolds National Landscape (CNL) Board in February 2025. Stratford-on-Avon District Council had been consulted on the Management Plan and a written request to endorse the Plan had been received.   In receiving the report, it was noted that endorsement of the Management Plan would help ensure that the ongoing work on the South Warwickshire Local Plan made positive reference to the aims of the CNL Board and the statutory purpose of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.   The options available to The Cabinet were to endorse the Management Plan using the wording suggested by the CNL Board or not endorse the Management Plan.   Accordingly, it was   RESOLVED:   That the Cotswolds National Landscape Management Plan 2023 – 2025 be endorsed for use as:   ·       Part of the evidence base for the review of the South Warwickshire Local Plan; ·       Part of the evidence base for the preparation of relevant Neighbourhood Development Plans; ·       Part of the evidence base for the preparation and implementation of relevant Council strategies, policies and projects; ·       A material consideration in the determination of planning applications; and ·       To inform the development and delivery of the Council’s services and activities.   Note: This item is subject to call-in to the OSC
