Purpose: To seek approval to renew the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Lease of Northfields Neighbourhood Centre, Brighton Road, Leicester, LE5 0HA, to the Islah Trust for 5 years, contracted outside of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.

Content: To seek approval to renew the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Lease of Northfields Neighbourhood Centre, Brighton Road, Leicester, LE5 0HA, to the Islah Trust for 5 years, contracted outside of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. To approve that Islah Trust shall be granted a renewal of their CAT lease for a new term of 5 years, contracted outside of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 at an annual rent of £16,000 payable in the first year and thereafter, £16,500 per annum payable. The approval of the CAT lease will support a community service provision. To refuse the new lease extension and dispose of the building.   To continue with the community service provision as the existing tenant has met all conditions relating their CAT lease obligations and can provide on-going welfare, economic and sustainability wellbeing benefits to Leicester Citizens.
