Purpose: The Council adopted the CAT policy in February 2024 and The Maybury community centre was listed as one of the assets to transfer. Following a 2-stage process conducted between July 2024 and January 2025, in line with the CAT Policy, the CAT panel recommend that Th eMaybury Centre Trust are successful and proceed with the transfer of The Maybury Community Centre. As per the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy, the decision to transfer the asset was approved by the relevant member portfolio holder (in this case Cllr Steve Greentree) and authority was delegated to the Strategic Director - Communities, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Communities, to take all necessary steps to effect this decision.
