Purpose:
Content: The mooring fees and any other associated fees for the rowing boat Roxy 3 on both their departure and return to Ramsgate Royal Harbour are waived as part of the Children in Need Great Row Event. The total berthing fee would be around £150. Rannoch Adventure is requesting mooring facilities at Ramsgate Harbour for their ocean rowing boat Roxy 3 as part of the 2025 Great British Row, a challenging circumnavigation of Great Britain in support of BBC Children in Need. The vessel is scheduled to arrive on 5 June 2025 and depart on 7 June 2025, with a return stop anticipated in late July at the end of the event. They are seeking permission to berth Roxy 3 for two nights in June and again upon completion of the row. The Council are waiving berthing fees to show its support for this charitable endeavour. If the Council did not waive the berthing fees it would possibly receive income if the vessel still wanted to berth at Ramsgate Royal Harbour, but it would more than likely create poor publicity for the Council because it would be seen to be not supporting this charity.
