Content: The Assistant Director of Engineering submitted a report to seek approval to procure services from a number of consultants and organisations in order to progress Work Packages (WP) which are part of the Our Future Coast (OFC) programme funded through the Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovative Programme (FRCRIP). Also, to provide an update regarding the loss of the programme’s Work Package 1 lead and route for replacement. Decisions The Resources Portfolio Holder and the Neighbourhood Services and Community Safety Portfolio Holder agreed: · That approval is given to appoint consultants as set out below: under the exemption to Contract Procedures contained within the Financial Regulations and Financial Procedure Rules, on the grounds that: Exceptions may apply regarding the appointment of consultants, including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, solicitors, barristers and other people providing professional services. · Adjustment to retaining Weronika Sroka to provide project management support in the delivery of WP2 Natural Flood Management test and trial, as approved in the Portfolio Holder (PH) Report published 6 March 2024 (estimated cost £63,245). · Retention of G Lymbery as approved in PH Report published 18 April 2024, to lead WP3 Monitoring and Evaluation and WP4 Adaptation Pathways (estimated cost £63,000). · That the PH notes that the project has lost its WP1 Comms and Engagement Lead for the programme and the Programme team are examining options for a replacement.
