Content: To consider the motion presented to Council at its meeting on 17 April 2025 by Councillor C Bainbridge in respect of protecting disability benefits and addressing tax burdens for Fareham residents.   The detail of the motion is set out in full in the report, along with commentary provided as background. RESOLVED that the Executive considered the motion and determines to support the motion in part by agreeing the following actions:   (a)  to complete the response to the consultation as opposed to writing as Leader of the Council, to the Secretary of State, reflecting the views set out in the report;   (b)  provide information and guidance to residents about how these changes may affect them and what steps they can take to mitigate the impact using the actions as set out in paragraph 18 of the report as actions within existing resources, including encouraging residents to access the consultation of the green paper to encourage them to respond directly; and   (c)  to continue to work with local groups, as is necessary to support people.
