Purpose:

Content: Approval of the award of contract detailed above. The PCML building was built in 1978 and has the original roofing system.   Due to general deterioration due to age the state of the roof, we made provision in the capital program for FY 2025/26 for the replacement, and this was planned for the later part of this year.   During recent high winds, extensive damage occurred to the existing roof system over an area of 150sqm out of a total of 13,500 sq ft roof    Tenders have now been received for the replacement of the entire roof including the installation of 150mm insulation to assist with attaining an EPC of C as required prior to 2028 to enable continued lettings.   I would propose that we now carry out the full roof repair as soon as possible as the remainder of the roof is already starting to fail and leak and due to being already passed its end life of 25 years. Not applicable.
