Purpose: To seek approval of the change in registered office address for Southend Care Ltd from Civic Offices, Victoria Avenue, Southend City Council, SS2 6ER to its new Head Office at Brook Meadows House, Burr Hill Chase, Westcliff on Sea, SS2 6PE.

Content: That the change in registered office address for Southend Care Ltd from Civic Offices, Victoria Avenue, Southend City Council, SS2 6ER to its new Head Office at Brook Meadows House, Burr Hill Chase, Westcliff on Sea, SS2 6PE be approved.     Southend Care Limited (ECL) is a company wholly owned by Southend-on-Sea City Council (SCC). This report asks SCC, in its role as sole shareholder, to agree the change registered office to SCL’s Head Office address at Brook Meadows House, Burr Hill Chase, Westcliff on Sea, SS2 6PE.   Cllr Cowan, as Leader of the Council, is authorised to make this decision under the terms of SCL’s Shareholder agreement, which designates the change of registered office as a reserved matter to be determined by the relevant Cabinet Member.   The Managing Director of SCL following agreement with the SCL Board is requesting agreement to this change.           The change will allow SCL to receive official correspondence directly to its Head Office, as there has been lost and delayed correspondence because of post being sent to the old address. A failure to update the address would result in the SCL continuing to experience difficulties in receiving official correspondence
