Purpose: This report is intended to provide options for the provision of hostel services to both Children’s Social Care, and the Homelessness Service, following the end contracted services from Sanctuary Housing on 31st August 2025.

Content: Councillor Hooper introduced the report and explained that Cabinet are being asked to agree the proposal to re-procure the service through an open tender process.   Councillor Worrall queried if the council can still provide the level of service needed.   Councillor Hooper responded that the service does not currently meet the needs of service users and it is sensible to end the contract and develop alternatives.   2.1 Cabinet approved and agreed the continued provision of hostel-based services through an open tender re-procurement process   2.2 Cabinet approved delegated authority for the award of contract for the delivery of 1.3 to the Executive Director of Place in consultation with the Leader, Portfolio Holder, Commissioners and Section 151 Officer.   Reason for the decision: as outlined in the report This decision is subject to call-in
