Purpose: Active Tameside – to provide an update on Active Tameside and receive Cabinet Approval to extend the existing agreed lease

Content: RESOLVED That Executive Cabinet give approval: (i)    To extend the leases and operating contract between the Council and Active Tameside for a further two years from 31 March 2026 until 31 March 2028. (ii)   To the development and inclusion of a full asset review of the facilities Active Tameside operate from, to establish a clear matrix of responsibilities and identify future budget requirements both from a capital and revenue perspective for both Tameside Council and Active Tameside.  This will provide an in depth understanding of the planned capital improvements needed to the buildings over the remaining tenure of the partnership arrangements and will progress future capital budget forecasting in relation to asset improvements. (iii)That the Council support the development of an outcome and commissioned type of approach to the Partnership Agreement which will be developed by and in collaboration with Public Health and Active Tameside.
