Purpose: This report requests the Chief Executive to approve the delivery mechanism for the Illuminate & Integrate scheme Part 2 works set out in the report.

Content: This report requests the Chief Executive to approve the delivery mechanism for the Illuminate & Integrate scheme Part 2 works set out in the report. Decision Taken – That the Chief Executive in consultation with the Leader approved the following mechanism to deliver the Illuminate and Integrate Part 2 public realm works set out in 2.1 of the report.   Reasons for Decision – To ensure the Council has an agreed and appropriate delivery route in place to facilitate the delivery of the Illuminate and Integrate Part 2 project.   Alternative Options Considered and Rejected – Not to agree the delivery mechanism and the associated appointment of the Eric Wright Civil Engineering, the development manager and professional services.  This was rejected as such an approach would fail to ensure the Council’s best interests are protected and would result in the Town Fund programme deadline not being met.
