Purpose: West Sussex County Council (WSCC) owns the freehold estate of Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1RL. The property is one of the County Council’s main administrative office hubs. Parts of the building are leased, with the RSPCA and Public Health England sharing the 4th floor. The Lease of the 2nd floor to Horsham District Council ends on 31 May 2025 and the district council has chosen to vacate the property.

The property is one of the County Council’s main administrative office hubs. Parts of the building are leased, with the RSPCA and Public Health England sharing the 4th floor. The Lease of the 2nd floor to Horsham District Council ends on 31 May 2025 and the district council has chosen to vacate the property. The Cabinet Member for Finance and Property has approved that – (1) the County Council grants a new lease of the 2nd Floor Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1RL and 50 parking spaces at Parkside. WSCC to collect a rent deposit from the tenant. The lease is to be granted to a new tenant subject to contract and agreement of final terms, as set out in the Appendix A (for Members only) and as per the plan in Appendix B; (2) should this lease not proceed, authority is delegated to the Director of Property and Assets to pursue an alternative lease on similar terms; and (3) authority is delegated to the Assistant Director (Property and Assets) in conjunction with the Director of Law and Assurance to negotiate and conclude the terms of the lease and rent deposit deed with the proposed tenant.
