The reason for the decision is that a compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 6, and the winning bidder has been identified as providing the most economically advantageous offer to the Council. (i) That, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule Schedule 1 6.5.2 (iv), a JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2024 be awarded to Consortia Integrated Services Limited for a boiler replacement and heating upgrade scheme at Eastcroft Primary School, Kirkby. (ii) That STAR Procurement be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of the relevant contract documentation. Do Nothing: This option was considered and rejected because existing heat emiters and boilers require immediate replacement due to age and condition. Deliver in house: This option was considered and rejected as the Council does not have the skills to deliver this work in house.
