Purpose: To seek authorisation for the maintenance schemes identified in this report which will be undertaken using the Additional Pothole Funding being made available by the Department for Transport via Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

Content: To seek authorisation for the maintenance schemes identified in this report which will be undertaken using the Additional Pothole Funding being made available by the Department for Transport via Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. The Executive Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development;   a)       Approve the maintenance schemes identified in this report where works will be undertaken using the Additional Pothole Funding that is being made available by the Department for Transport The condition of all roads in the Borough were assessed when selecting the schemes. The roads selected for maintenance works are those in the worst condition, although some prioritisation has been given to those roads with higher volumes of traffic.   Consideration was given to undertaking preservative highway maintenance treatments rather than resurfacing works, however preservative treatments need to be undertaken between April and September and the contractors for this type of work are not available before the funding deadline of 31 March 2026.
