Purpose:
Content: The Chairman welcomed the Cabinet of Children, Families and Schools to the Together for Families Overview and Scrutiny Committee. The following questions were put to the Cabinet Member. · Concern that there were no hazard markings outside of a local primary school. · The approach Cornwall Council would take in relation to the Smart phone free campaign in schools · Concern with appropriate support for children with SEND. ACTIONS 1. That the Cabinet Member liaise with the relevant service to ascertain whether monies could be found to support hazard markings outside of St Just Primary School. 2. The Cabinet Member to report back to the Committee in future on how the Smart phone free Campaign would be taken forward. 3. The Cabinet Member to liaise with Councillor Ball on approaches to support children with SEND. 4. Clarification to be provided to Councillor Desmonde on the budget provided to consultants advising on Home to School Transport
