Title: Acquisition of Land at Warden Street Canklow Decision Maker: (Including Job Title) Kevin Fisher, Assistant Director Property & Facilities Services Details of Specific Delegation or Delegation contained in the relevant Sub-Scheme of Delegation. Decision taken under the powers granted to the property officer under section 29 of the Council’s Financial Procurement Procedure Rules. Paragraph 29.10.2 states £100,000 the Property Officer may approve a purchase of land or buildings in consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member. Decision: That the Assistant Director for Property & Facilities Services approves the acquisition of the long leasehold interests in Warden Street from the current lessee (tenant) following consultation with the Cabinet Member. Reasons for the Decision: The leaseholder has contacted the Council to purchase its leasehold title from them. The acquisition of the leasehold title of this land will ensure that the design and layout of the proposed scheme will not be affected by any gaps in title. The Council has agreed to pay the amount that will renumerate the leaseholder in respect of its original purchase (that was originally entered into to assist in the regeneration of this area) and its professional fees.
