Purpose: To consider the consultation results from the recent statutory consultation on changes to the speed limit, and introduction of speed humps on Maize Lane, Warfield.

Content: To consider the consultation results from the recent statutory consultation on changes to the speed limit, and introduction of speed humps on Maize Lane, Warfield. Resolved that:   ·       the formal objections received during the statutory consultation process and the corresponding Officer comments are noted; ·       the position regarding local ward Members comments received during the consultation process is noted; ·       that the installation of the speed humps as advertised be agreed; ·       that the current (Maize Lane, Warfield) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 be abandoned with a new Order being processed incorporating a 20mph speed limit proposal on Maize Lane. The proposals are intended to mitigate against the increased vehicular usage of Maize Lane due to the adjacent residential development. To not install the speed humps or lower the speed limit would reduce the road safety of vulnerable road users on Maize Lane given the increase in vehicular usage of the road. None.
