Content: The existing Tourist Accommodation Retention Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) is being revised to reflect changes in the tourism and accommodation industry. Cabinet decision required to approval the final version of the Tourist Accommodation Retention SPD to enable it to be presented to Full Council for adoption. Recommended to Full Council (Budget and policy framework): (1) To recommend to Full Council that the Revised Tourist Accommodation Retention Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) (2025) as set out at Appendix 2 to the report be adopted at the Full Council meeting on 16 July 2025. (2) To recommend to Full Council that the current Tourist Accommodation Retention SPD (2017) as set out at Appendix 3 to the report be marked as superseded. (3) To delegate authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for regulatory services, staff and performance and enterprise, to make minor or typographical changes to the SPD prior to publication.
