Purpose:

Content: Following consideration of the officer report, appendices and discussion, the Executive resolved to:   Adopt the draft Somerset Economic Prosperity Strategy 2025-2045, as set out in Appendix A;  Delegate to the Service Director for Economic Development, Skills and Climate, in consultation with the Lead Member for Economic Development Planning and Assets, the Authority to make any required minor amendments and to oversee design and publication of the Somerset Economic Prosperity Strategy 2025-2045 as a public-facing document;  Agree that the eventual published Somerset Economic Prosperity Strategy 2025-2045 replaces the Somerset Recovery and Growth Plan and former District Council economic development strategies in Somerset; and  Endorse next steps in taking the Somerset Economic Prosperity Strategy 2025-2045 forward into implementation, as set out in section four of the main body of the report.
