Purpose:

Content: 1        EMPLOYEE RELATIONS FRAMEWORK – The Director: Transformation and Outcomes submitted a report seeking approval for a new employee relations framework encompassing a new Investigation Protocol and updated Disciplinary policy, Grievance policy and Mutual Respect at Work (previously Dignity at Work) policy.   A new Investigation Protocol had been developed to provide an overarching framework covering how an investigation should be conducted, regardless of the policy being followed.  This would ensure consistency of approach across the council’s employee relations policies.   The associated policies had also been reviewed to ensure they aligned with the new protocol, brought them into the new policy style and to clarify and simplify the procedures.   The report gave details of changes to the policies.   Resolved – That the Investigation Protocol, Disciplinary policy, Grievance policy and Mutual Respect at Work policy be approved.
