Content: That the variation for the Bromley Substance Misuse Service Change Grow Live (CGL) commencing 1st July 2025 to 31st March 2029 with an option to extend for up to a further three years, be approved. The variation is contained within the Public Health Grant budget – the variation amount annually is £97,534. For the remaining four years of the contract, it is a total of is £390,136. If the contact is extended by the optional three years, the variation, for a total of seven years is £682,738. CGL (Change Grow Live) was awarded the community substance misuse service contract in 2024. The contract commenced 1st April 2024 for 5 years to 31st March 2029, with an option to extend for up to a further three years. The annual value of the contract is £1,718,000 with a whole life value of £13,744,000. The contract value is contained within the Public Health Grant budget.   CGL Bromley’s Adult Service is performing beyond ambitions set out at the outset of the contract. The number of residents seeking treatment for alcohol and/or drug use has increased. There are two key areas that require additional resource. These are the criminal justice treatment pathway and aftercare, for people who successfully reach that stage of treatment.   In order to maintain high quality treatment and successful outcomes, additional service capacity is necessary, therefore a variation to the contract is being sought.
