Content: *RESOLVED –   1.   That the addition of a strategic acquisition allocation to the Council’s capital programme; with an allocation of £1.5m in 2025/26 and £1m in 2026/27 be recommended to Full Council.   2.   That it be noted that the appropriate delegations are included within the Council’s constitution, which enable the acquisition of land and property, and any decisions made under these delegations would include details of the specific funding arrangements as part of the financial implications section of the report, be subject to legal advice, and reported to Full Council as part of the regular capital programme monitoring arrangements.   REASON FOR DECISIONS   Including a strategic acquisition allocation within the Council’s capital programme will enable the Council to respond with increased flexibility when an opportunity to acquire a strategic site is presented and will allow the Council to move at pace to secure sites when appropriate opportunities arise.
