Content: *RESOLVED – 1. That the proposals to progress plans to establish a National Skills Academy for Construction qualifying status at the Construction Skills Hub and enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with CITB for the establishment of National Skills Academy for Construction be approved. 2. That authority be delegated to the Executive Director, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, the Skills Delivery Manager and the Head of Legal and Monitoring Officer to finalise terms of the Memorandum of Understanding. REASON FOR DECISIONS To secure National Skills Academy for Construction qualifying status at the Construction Skills Hub and subsequently lever additional support for the local construction supply chain and increase the number of construction related training, work experience and employment opportunities for local people.
