Purpose:
Content: The press and public were excluded from the meeting during discussion of the report under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that the report in question would be likely to involve disclosure of exempt information of the description specified in paragraph 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. The Committee was asked to note an urgent action (pro-forma 1036) that had been taken and duly approved by the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Committee. This was dated 25 June 2025. The matter concerned the approval of a sum as reported to reach a settlement for a case within the remit of the Planning and Built Economy Business Centre, that had been the subject of a claim for judicial review. Officers confirmed that a decision made by the Planning Committee would need to be reviewed by the Committee at a later date. The report was duly noted.
