Purpose:

Content: That the Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets and Waste:   1.  Considers the 131 responses received as summarised in Appendix A, during the informal review consultation for the East Camberwell ‘EC’ Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). 2.  Approves the implementation of weekend controls on Rainbow Street, Wells Way between its junction with St Georges Way and Southampton Way, Coleman Road, Bonsor Street and Dowlas Street, with the operational times of 8.30am to 6.30pm, (subject to the outcome of the statutory consultation due to take place July 2025). 3.  Approves the implementation of permit controls on the currently uncontrolled section of Wells Way, between the junction of Albany Road and St Georges Way, in line with the ‘EC’ permit zone operating Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.30pm  (subject to the outcome of the statutory consultation). 4.  Approves the removal of the loading bay on Rainbow Street, outside number 2 Rainbow Street, to be replaced by double yellow lines, (subject to the outcome of the statutory consultation). 5.  Notes that a further report will be brought to the Cabinet Member should there be any valid statutory objections to the traffic order required to implement the proposed CPZ.  6.  Notes that requests for complementary measures will be passed to the appropriate officers so that these can be considered as per the relevant processes and procedures.
