Purpose: The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES), a statutory service, delivered across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire which is commissioned by the local health and social care system, supporting people of all ages to remain as independent as possible within the community.     It will also provide the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader and Chair of the Prevention, Independence & Resilience Scrutiny Committee with an understanding of the sustainability challenges this service currently faces along with an outline of the recommended approach to manage this. These recommendations aim to ensure that PCC as lead authority on behalf of CCC and the ICB shall continue to meet the parties’ statutory duties and ensure continuity of support for people who require it across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.
