Purpose: The intention of TWBC to dispose of a number of property assets requires the surrender of the leases between the Council and Tunbridge Wells Property Holdings that exist for those properties to ensure they are sold unencumbered of other interests. As and when vacant possession is gained for each property and a sale agreed then the lease is no longer required then steps can be taken to surrender that lease. This will be for the following properties: Apartments 10,13,18 and 23 Grove Hill House, Grove Hill Road, Tunbridge Wells, 25 Monson Road, Tunbridge Wells and Cemetery Lodge, Benhall Mill Road, Tunbridge Wells.

RESOLVED – That the disposal of the asset referred to in the report and appendices be approved. That the Head of Economic Development and Property in consultation with the Director of Finance, Policy and Development the Monitoring Officer be delegated authority to negotiate and agree the terms of the disposal be approved. That the Head of Mid Kent Services be authorised to negotiate and complete all necessary and ancillary legal documentation and formalities to give effect to these recommendations and the disposal of the property be approved. REASON FOR DECISION: To achieve the successful disposal of these property assets.
