Content: To ask Cabinet to consider and approve the refreshed Risk Management Policy. The Cabinet considered the report of the Director of Finance and Performance, asking it to the approve the Council’s updated Risk and Impact Management Policy, which would support delivery of the Corporate Plan and priorities. The Audit and Governance Committee, held on 7 July 2025 considered a presentation of the report and was supportive of the officer recommendations in full. Councillor Gauntlett, Chair of Audit and Governance, was in attendance to report on the Committee’s discussion and advised that no further comments on the full report had been received since the meeting. The Cabinet welcomed the updates to the Policy, including embedding risk and impact assessments at all levels, and in particular the inclusion of climate change adaptation and risks. Resolved (Non-key decision): (1) To consider and approve the revised Risk and Impact Management Policy. (2) To note the refresh to the process and procedures for managing risk and impacts assessments associated with the review policy.
