Purpose:

Content: The report set out the proposal to create a new ‘Borough Community Assembly’ to improve two-way engagement with key groups within the Borough including Parish Councils.   The report was presented to Council following a recommendation from the Assets, Projects and Strategy Committee at its meeting held on the 3 March 2025. The Committee recommended:   That Members of the APS Committee send any suggestions or amendments to the terms of reference of Appendix A to the Strategic Director / Deputy Chief Executive in consultation of the Chair of the APS Committee and that the Committee recommends the development of a Borough Community Assembly to Full Council.   Cllr Barrett MOVED and Cllr Davies SECONDED the recommendations in the report. A vote was taken on a show of hands and it was RESOLVED:   That the Council approves the establishment of a ‘Borough Community Assembly’ and the Terms of Reference set out in this report at Appendix A of the report.
