Purpose: This report seeks approval for the Council to enter into a Grant Funding Agreement with the CA to secure the funding for the Huyton Active Travel Corridor and Tarbock Island schemes within the Borough.

Content: This report seeks approval for the Council to enter into a Grant Funding Agreement with the CA to secure the funding for the Huyton Active Travel Corridor and Tarbock Island schemes within the Borough. That the Executive Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development: -   a)    Authorise the Council to enter into a Grant Funding Agreement with the Combined Authority (CA), in relation to the Huyton Active Travel Corridor and Tarbock Island schemes.   b)    Approve the Head of Legal Services to finalise the terms of the Grant Funding Agreement referenced in paragraph (a) above   Not entering into the Grant Funding Agreement was considered and rejected as this is an opportunity to use third party funding to undertake works that will improve highway capacity and active travel infrastructure.
