Purpose: The purpose of the report is to request the establishment of an additional permanent Assistant Team Manager (Grade O) post in Children’s Services to facilitate effective Children’s case progression.

Content: The purpose of the report is to request the establishment of an additional permanent Assistant Team Manager (Grade O) post in Children’s Services to facilitate effective Children’s case progression. That the Interim Executive Director (Children’s Services) in consultation with the Executive Director (Resources) approves the establishment of a permanent Assistant Team Manager (Grade O) post in Children’s Services. The option of not establishing an additional post has been considered and rejected on the basis that the additional capacity is required to provide additional capacity which will contribute to managing a reduction in caseloads of social workers.
