Purpose: This report seeks approval to update the Flag Flying Protocol.  

Content: This report seeks approval to update the Flag Flying Protocol.   That the Assistant Executive Director (Legal and Governance), in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources, agreed that:-     (i)            the Progress Pride Flag be flown at full mast outside of both the Huyton Municipal Building and The Kirkby Centre from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 27 July 2025 to mark Pride in Knowsley and Liverpool;   (ii)          the Flag Flying Protocol be amended to show that the Progress Pride Flag will be flown each year from the day of Knowsley Pride (ordinarily mid/late July or the beginning of August) to the following Sunday (i.e. 8 days) - i.e. in addition to 1 February when it is flown to reflect LGBT+ History Month; and   (iii)         subject to the addition of resolution (ii) above, the revised Flag Flying Protocol 2025, as set out in Appendix A of the report, be agreed.   None
