Purpose: Within the Ipswich Old Cemetery, the non-conformist chapel used as a stonemason’s workshop had had significant masonry failures and requires repair. This site forms part of a pair of Grade II listed structures and specialist care is required to undertake these works.   Following an open procurement process, the Council received several bids that were all more than 10% over the Project budget. Following review of the bids, it was concluded that the best value for money was to accept a quote from Adamson Conservation Ltd of £26,850.00 (excl. VAT). This will be funded from an existing Capital Works Budget allocated for this project.
