Purpose:
Content: The Director of Community Services submitted a report to inform and share with committee the first Annual Climate Change report that included an update on the progress achieved with the 2024/25 climate change action plan. The Annual Climate Change report covered the period 1 April to 31 March 2025 and updated on progress against the 2024/25 climate change action plan. The report also provided details on the National vs local context, local authorities and the carbon budget, 2025 Climate Emergency UK Scorecards, a Climate Strategy summary, headline metrics, and things the Council were proud to have delivered. RESOLVED THAT COMMITTEE: Considered and noted the content of the Annual Climate Change report that included an update on the progress achieved with the 2024/25 climate change action plan and agreed to publish the report on the council website.
