Purpose:

Content: The Committee resolved to move into private session for this item in accordance with paragraph 3 (information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information)) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, and because the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information.   A report seeking approval for Officers to proceed with the disposal of void HRA asset was presented to the committee.   R E S O L V E D - that   A.    approval be given to dispose of an HRA asset and authority be delegated to the Head of Legal and Monitoring Officer and her Officers to complete any contracts necessary and affect the disposal.   B.    approval be given to use the existing, approved buy back budget to cover the minimal costs associated with the disposal and for the budget to be reimbursed using the capital receipt upon completion of the sale.   C.   approval be given to use the proceeds from the sale of the HRA asset to purchase two alternative properties on the open market in accordance with the Council’s Financial Regulation 17.
