Purpose:

Content: The Chief Executive submitted a report for committee to review and approve the Ribble Valley Borough Council - Food Service Plan 2025.   The Plan provided detail on how food safety officers within the Environmental Health team worked to ensure that food made or sold within the borough of Ribble Valley was safe and complied with the law. The Plan also included details such as:   ·         The service aim and objectives ·         The structure of the Environmental Health Team / Food Team ·         The profile of the businesses within the Ribble Valley ·         Enforcement actions taken in 2024 ·         Service delivery ·         Risk ratings of food businesses in the Ribble Valley ·         Food ratings of premises in the Ribble Valley ·         Actions following inspections ·         The estimated cost for running the food service ·         Staffing allocations   Luncheon Clubs were highlighted as an unseen risk affecting a vulnerable group within the community. The Council would take a proactive approach to identifying clubs and registering them for inspections.   RESOLVED THAT COMMITTEE:   Approved the Ribble Valley Borough Council Food Service Plan 2025.
