Purpose: To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of proposed waiting restrictions in the town of Corsham and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

Content: To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of proposed waiting restrictions in the town of Corsham and to recommend an appropriate way forward. Following consultation with officers I give notice that I intend to make the decision set out in the attached report. If you would like to make any representations to me on this issue please do so by 24 September 2025. 1.    It is proposed to proceed as advertised with the proposals the following locations:   Cross Keys Road Potley Lane Pickwick Road   2.    It is proposed to amend the advertised proposals for the following location:   ·        Park Lane / Silman Close / Masons Way / Chestnut Grange / Purleigh Road: A proposed reduction in length of no waiting at any time in Purleigh Road, following comments raised by residents.   3.    To abandon the proposals for:   ·        Freestone Way/Hatton Way; Corsham Town Council requested that this location be held in abeyance to enable further consideration with the local community. To:   Implement the proposals as advertised.   To implement amended proposals   Abandon the proposals. Consultation has been undertaken with:   The elected Wiltshire Council Member through the statutory TRO consultation process.   The elected Corsham Town Council through the statutory TRO consultation process   Emergency services through the statutory TRO consultation process   Members of the public through the statutory TRO consultation process   The proposed waiting restrictions were subject to formal consultation between 11th October and 4th November 2024. During the consultation period a total of seventy-nine items of correspondence were received in response to the Council’s proposals of which 54 were objections.
