Purpose: The Council has recently received a request from the Chair of the Conwy Youth Council requesting youth representation on all four of the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committees.

Content: The Council has recently received a request from the Chair of the Conwy Youth Council requesting youth representation on all four of the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committees. RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL:   a)    That a representative of the Youth Council be co-opted without voting rights as a member of the Economy and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee.   b)    That the co-opted representative of the youth council should not take part as a member of the committee where the matter under discussion is an exempt item under Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
