Purpose: To consider a petition received regarding proposed parking charge changes and associated Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). The report will set out the petition, officer responses, and any proposed amendments to the TRO. The Executive will be asked to determine whether to proceed with sealing the TRO and implementing the revised parking arrangements in line with previous budget proposals.

Content: To consider a petition received regarding proposed parking charge changes and associated Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). The report will set out the petition, officer responses, and any proposed amendments to the TRO. The Executive will be asked to determine whether to proceed with sealing the TRO and implementing the revised parking arrangements in line with previous budget proposals. Resolved –   (1)      Executive considered the objections and petitions received and          considered the officer alternative outlined in Appendix D to          Document    “W”.   That Executive approved:   (2       That one-hour free parking is retained on New Brook Street,          Kings Road, and Cowpasture Road, extending evening        charging      until 8pm and introducing Bank Holiday charging   on all other bays.   (1)           That maximum stay restrictions be applied to Blue Badge          bays to promote circulation, and that the amended TRO be   sealed for implementation in December 2025.             (2)           That a further report be presented to Executive 12 months        after implementation of these proposals to update on the        impact on Cowpasture Road and Blue Badge provision to          consider if further refinement of the proposals is required.   (3)           That the lead petitioner be advised of the Executive’s decision.   To be actioned by: Strategic Director Place   Overview & Scrutiny Area: Regeneration & Environment   (Miguel D’Souza)
