Purpose: To enter into an associated lease agreement with North Notts Hockey Club for the lease of Manor astro turf pitch

Content: Subject to advertising the disposal and considering any objections, to lease the astroturf pitch at Manor Sports Complex to North Notts Hockey Club for 25 years at £1000 pa (except in the first year when the cost will be nil subject to the club carrying out specified improvement works) and subject to such other terms as the Corporate Asset Manager considers necessary.   The Legal Services Manager be authorised to negotiate, finalise and complete all necessary legal agreements and other documents to give effect to the above The council had been in negotiation with Manor School to bring community access back to the astroturf pitch on the site, which has been closed by the school since 2019. This concluded with the relinquishment of the lease (between the council and the school/ Two Counties Trust). The lease with the school has now come to an end and a new lease transfer/ agreement of the pitch to North Notts Hockey Club is now required.   The hockey club have undertaken significant work to the pitch to bring it back to a playable standard, following years of no use. The council are happy to support the club with a small contribution via a free first year lease charge to the club.   After the first year the agreed annual lease fees will be charged at £1k per year.  It is hoped that this support will allow the club to establish themselves onto the pitch once again and undertake all necessary work to bring it to a playable standard.     To not lease the pitch and it remains closed to community use with the risk of it falling into disrepair
