Purpose: Wyre Council received a grant to improve the amenities on parts of Victoria Road West, Princess Road, Slinger Road, Roughly Road and North Promenade in Cleveleys and Garstang High Street in Garstang. The highway construction for Princess Road, Slinger Road, Rough Lea Road and North Promenade Cleveleys. works commenced on 17th March and are now complete. The remaining works on Victoria Road West and Garstang High Street are to be constructed shortly and will be carried out by Highway Operations through a S278 agreement with Wyre Council. The advance payment of fees and the Section 278 Agreement provides a robust mechanism for the County Council to ensure it is at no financial risk from carrying out the design, construction and supervision of these work.
