Purpose:
Content: The Committee reviewed the financial monitoring details including budget variances and performance indicators for the 1st quarter ended 30th June 2025. The Corporate Director – Finance and Resources presented the report and highlighted the main points, including any significant variances in the forecast revenue outturn at Q1. It was noted that during the quarter, £92k of Council Tax debt was written off along with £379k of Business Rates. Worcester’s share of these write-off figures represented £9k and £150k respectively. Officers responded to questions and comments from Committee Members. RESOLVED: That the Committee agree to note: 1. the financial monitoring details including budget variances and performance indicators for the 1st quarter ended 30 June 2025; 2. the write-offs of Council Tax and Business Rates for the quarter ended 30 June 2025; and 3. the forecast balances on earmarked reserves at 31 March 2026.
