Purpose:

Content: The Committee considered a report on the Action Plan which had been prepared following publication of the Corporate Peer Challenge (CPC) report in April 2025. The Deputy Director – Policy and Strategy presented the report and explained that the Action Plan addressed each of the ten key recommendations made by the CPC Team and a further four suggestions made in their report.   Officers responded to questions and comments from Committee Members.   Committee Members were content with the proposals to address the recommendations and actions, particularly in the context of future challenges regarding Local Government Reorganisation and budget pressures for 2026/27.   The Managing Director highlighted that the Review Team will return to Worcester for a follow-up meeting in February 2026.   RESOLVED: That the Committee agree to:   1.    note the report of the Peer Challenge Team; and   2.    endorse the proposed Action Plan to address the recommendations and other comments within the CPC Team’s report.
