Purpose:
Content: The Committee considered the quarter 1 performance report for Policy and Resources Committee. The Deputy Director – Policy and Strategy presented the report and highlighted the actions being taken to address those indicators where the current status is Red/Overdue. Officers proposed that the following key performance indicators be removed from the Performance Scorecard for 2025/26 for the reasons stated: • Net spend - surplus/(deficit) £000 - reported in more detail as part of the Finance Report. • Budget gap reduction (£ million) - reported in more detail as part of the Finance Report. • General Fund Reserves as % of service expenditure – this information is covered within other KPIs. In reply to a question about the presentation of information on debt servicing, the Corporate Director advised that this was formerly an Oflog metric. The indicator will be reviewed. RESOLVED: That the Committee agree to: 1. note the Council’s quarter 1 performance for 2025/26; and 2. the removal of three key performance indicators from the performance scorecard for 2025/26, as set out above.
