Content: NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL   DEPUTY LEADER - OPERATIONS AND FLOODING CABINET MEMBER   20 October 2025   The corresponding report of the following item (Minute 3 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).   3                PROCUREMENT AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SUPPLY OF 240L BURGUNDY RECYCLING CONTAINERS – The Director: Communities submitted a report seeking approval for the procurement of 70,000 240L burgundy wheeled bin containers as part of the new Simpler Recycling kerbside collections.   Introduced as part of the Environment Act 2021, the new Simpler Recycling legislation for domestic collections would come into effect from 1 April 2026.   The preferred new kerbside collection methodology, to come into effect from 1 April 2026,  had now been identified and received Cabinet Member approval (minute 1 refers).   The preferred collection methodology included the necessary initial purchase of 70,000 240L burgundy coloured wheeled bin containers and their ongoing supply as part of the change to a fully co-mingled recycling kerbside collection methodology.   Resolved – That Option 1, as set out in the report at paragraph 3.1 that the procurement of new 240L burgundy wheeled bin containers, be approved.
